The answer is simple: preserve our planet for future generations. Not only for generations of human beings but for all the creatures building a symbiotic community on this habitat we call earth.
Jet you might agree that what sounds easy will face severe struggle. On our way to live happy and healthy lives, humanity has become like the very hungry caterpillar in the so called book of Eric Carle. Like the very hungry caterpillar we fill ourselves with all the resources we can grab. The difference is, in our case there won' t be a beautiful butterfly at the end. If we don't change the way we live and the amount of our consume, there will be not butterflies at all in a view years.
But researchers all over the world agree, that there is still time to change this fatal gluttony and instead live within the boarders of sustainable consumtion and development.
In fact it's our choice if planet earth will go down or if we will heal it's bruises and make it the paradise it has always been. If you are not sure what to think about it, take some time to look at the stars at a clear night. Look at all directions and try to guess how many blinking lights you may see out there. But no matter how big a number you might think of, one thing's for sure: none of those shining stars will bear live as does our great planet earth. None of those celestial bodies have ever faced what we consider as 'live' or will ever face it. Scientists by now have not found any planet within human reach which can offer what live as we know it needs: sun, light, warmth, oxygen, water.
All those things are, until now, known as unique privileges only to exist on planet earth and planet earth offers all of these for free. Let us protect those wonderful gifts our home is giving to all the beings living on it!
